Tuiwa Village in Nagarze County, Shannan City, Xizang Autonomous Region, is located on the shore of Pumo Yumco Lake at an altitude of 5,070 meters. Before the democratic reform, the average life expectancy here was less than 40 years. Nowadays, everyone has access to modern healthcare. The village has transformed from relying solely on herding to thriving on tourism, evolving from a primitive pastoral village to a modern well-off village. This transformation serves as a vivid microcosm of village development in Xizang.
